Shreeya Giri, founder of Happy Minds, an organization working in the field of mental health in Nepal, has been honored as one of the “Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars” at a ceremony held in London. She was selected by the Financial Times for its global list that recognizes emerging female leaders from around the world.

At the ceremony held at the Financial Times headquarters on Monday, the names of fifty women under the age of 35 from around the world — including Shreeya — were announced.

“As the founder of a Nepali startup organization working in the mental health field, this recognition has greatly encouraged me,” said Shreeya. “It reflects the collective spirit of young Nepalis who are bringing light, love, and courage at a time when our country is facing a mental health crisis.”
Happy Minds has been collaborating with various organizations to raise awareness about mental health, mobilize investment in mental health services, and create supportive community spaces. The Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG campaign is supported by major UK-based organizations — Tesco, Reed Smith LLP, and the Financial Times. The campaign honors women under 35 from across the globe who are driving meaningful change in the areas of environment, sustainability, and governance (ESG).
Last year, Forbes Asia recognized Shreeya’s contribution to mental health advocacy and youth motivation by including her in its “30 Under 30 – Social Impact” list.
Each year, the Financial Times brings together inspiring, visionary, and transformative individuals from around the world to honor the Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG. According to the Financial Times, these exceptional women are redefining leadership in sustainability, social impact, and governance, driving positive change in both business and community spheres.
“We are proud to showcase their remarkable achievements and stories of purpose-driven progress in a full-page feature in the Financial Times, highlighting their strength and contributions,” the FT stated. “Here’s to the bright future of ESG — and to the women leading the way.”
