Royal Tulip Chitwan Resort, located in Sauraha, Chitwan, has launched a new all-day dining restaurant named ‘Majhighar’. This five-star luxury resort, under the Louvre Hotels Group, is operated by KTM Hospitality. The restaurant was soft-launched and is set to operate 24 hours a day. It is led by businessman Rameshwar Shah, who has a long-standing involvement with the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), including serving as its vice president.

According to Shah, the design of ‘Majhighar’ is inspired by the rich cultural traditions of the Majhi and Tharu communities. He added that the restaurant aims to offer guests a unique culinary experience blending local and international flavors. “Our goal is to take Chitwan’s hospitality to a new level,” said Shah.

The Royal Tulip Chitwan Resort is spread across over four acres along the edge of Chitwan National Park. It features 65 elegant rooms and villas, including international-standard private pool villas, water villas, and Machan suites.

In addition to the restaurant, the resort offers a wide range of guest facilities such as a spa, fitness center, swimming pool, Forest Flame restaurant, Machan viewing deck, revolving deck, and a vibrant sports bar.
General Manager Sachin Sharma stated that the hotel prioritizes sustainable practices, including the use of locally sourced materials and an in-house water bottling plant. According to him, the resort will provide employment to over 100 locals. “We launched this project with the aim of contributing to Nepal’s tourism sector,” said Sharma. “We are committed to offering guests a luxurious and unforgettable experience.”
