Nepal has qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka in February–March 2026. This marks Nepal’s second consecutive and third overall appearance in the T20 World Cup. Previously, Nepal participated in the tournaments held in 2014 and 2024.

Nepal secured its spot after confirming a top-three finish in the Asia and EAP Qualifier currently being held in Oman. According to the tournament rules, the top three teams from the Super Six stage will qualify for the World Cup.
Nepal’s qualification was confirmed today after the UAE defeated Samoa by 77 runs, ensuring that Nepal would remain within the top three positions. Alongside Nepal, host nation Oman has also booked its place in the 2026 T20 World Cup.
With two matches remaining in the Super Six round, both Oman and Nepal have six points each. Since only one other team can possibly reach six points, both teams have secured their World Cup berths.
Nepal and Oman are set to face each other later tonight in a match that will decide the qualifier champion, as both teams have already qualified. After playing Oman, Nepal will face Samoa on Friday, while Oman will play its final match against Japan, also on Friday.
